This is the first story in a trilogy about a world of Supers. It is a very original world where the Supers get their power through a secondary circulatory system that pumps some sort of power throughout their systems. Very original concept!The main character Maci is a sixteen year old overachiever that is always falling into one situation after another. She can’t help it. She just tries to do the right thing, as she sees it. A typical teenager who thinks she knows it all and won’t listen to anyone. Maci is a very real teenage girl; great character development.
The story is very fast–paced. I almost succeeded in reading it in one sitting, but sleep finally won out. The story does end well, so hang in there.
Warning! It is a fairly dark story with some graphic violence towards the last 20% of the book.

Great
Love this book, the twists keep you on the edge of your seat. Strong characters who love to kick ass
Great story line. Went paths one could not predict. Very energetic, fun and exciting story. Can't wait for the next book to come out.
Excellent read you will enjoy.
Quite enjoyed reading the book. It does leave so many questions unanswered but in such a way that leaves you wanting the next book so you can learn more about the world and characters described within. Some characters who were presented as primary's do get dropped by the way side but one assumes they will be fleshed out more in the books to come. The trilogy has a lot of promise and I can't wait to see if it meets in in the future.
Thoroughly enjoyed this first tale of Maci Might. Great action, great characterization, and a plot that is not predictable. Superb young adult superhero stuff. Looking forward to the completion of the trilogy.
Maci Knight is not just a super-powered teen--she's funny. She's got heart. She's real! I like that; a fun, action-adventure YA novel that reads like a YA contemporary (which makes sense because the author usually writes YA contemporary! Go figure.) I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes a fun, light-hearted read with some cool fight scenes and adorable YA romance thrown in.
