I did not much care for this book. I believe it was probably because it was so dark and depressing. It did a very good job of showing the relationship of father and son. Each of them is on a quest to discover what is lacking in their lives. They have not gotten along with each other for many years. It takes a trip, multiple murders and dealing with a different person to bring them together and getting them act like they like and even love each other.
It was okay for a free read.
A great story about life and what gives it meaning. The author paints pictures with words.
Sorry not my favorite book. Way too long with not much entrainment. Glad to have finished it. Good luck on your n book, Mr Bryant.
An easy to follow story. Very satisfying and enjoyable. Realistic characters. Very descriptive and well written with good imagery. Highly recommended.
Loved this book. It held my attention. Stayed up way too late because I didn't want to stop reading and go to sleep.
I enjoyed this suspenseful and intriguing novel very much. It has tremendous world building and the characters came to life for me as I read. I still have a few questions but often that denotes just how good the mystery is. It allows me to ponder the 'what-ifs', and I do like that very much. I highly recommend it and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
